Other Memory Media

Other Memory Media is an independent Canadian production company founded and led by Pakistani/Canadian filmmaker Anam Abbas, operating across Canada and Pakistan. The company specializes in documentary and fiction features with a focus on women's voices, feminist themes, and stories from the peripheries of Pakistani and South Asian society. Notable productions include the VICE-released documentary 'Showgirls of Pakistan' (IDFA 2020), 'This Stained Dawn' (Sheffield Doc/Fest 2021), and 'In Flames' (Cannes Directors' Fortnight 2023), which was Pakistan's submission for the 2024 Academy Awards Best International Feature Film.
