About

The North Road Company is a premier independent global content studio founded in July 2022 by Peter Chernin, producing scripted, unscripted, and documentary film and television content across the U.S. and international markets. It houses market-leading subsidiaries including Chernin Entertainment, Kinetic Content, Words + Pictures, Karga Seven Pictures, Perro Azul, 44 Blue Productions, Omaha Productions, and Two One Five Entertainment, making it one of the world's largest independent content suppliers with over 70 active productions. In January 2026, North Road was acquired by French media company Mediawan for approximately $900 million, with Peter Chernin continuing as Non-Executive Chairman and Scott Manson serving as CEO; North Road now serves as Mediawan's North American hub within a combined group operating nearly 100 production companies across 15 countries with over $2 billion in annual production volume.
