Music Theatre International (MTI)

Music Theatre International (MTI) is one of the world's leading theatrical licensing agencies, founded in 1952 by composer Frank Loesser and orchestrator Don Walker, granting professional, community, and school theatres the rights to perform the greatest selection of musicals from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and the West End. MTI works directly with composers, lyricists, and book writers to provide official scripts, musical materials, and dynamic theatrical resources to over 100,000 organizations in more than 150 countries worldwide. Particularly dedicated to educational theatre, MTI pioneered the Broadway Junior collection of 30- and 60-minute adaptations for young performers, School Editions for high schoolers, and — launched in 2025 — Broadway Senior musicals for performers 55 and over. With global headquarters in New York and offices in London (MTI Europe) and Melbourne (MTI Australasia), MTI is majority-owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and co-chaired by Freddie Gershon.
