Morena Films

Morena Films is a Madrid-based, privately held Spanish film and television production company founded in 1999 by Juan Gordon, Álvaro Longoria, and Lucrecia Botín, with the aim of producing innovative, high-quality content for international markets. Since its founding, the company has produced close to a hundred projects spanning feature films, documentaries, animation, and TV series, collaborating with directors such as Asghar Farhadi, Steven Soderbergh, Icíar Bollaín, Oliver Stone, and Carlos Saura. Morena is considered one of Spain's leading production outfits, with titles such as Cell 211, Champions, Even the Rain, and Everybody Knows among its most acclaimed works. The company also provides production services to foreign companies filming in Spain and has an active sustainability/green production program.
