Marianne Productions is a French film production company most prominently associated with the mid-20th century classic European cinema era, known for co-producing landmark films including René Clément's Is Paris Burning? (1966), Louis Malle's Murmur of the Heart (1971), Roman Polanski's The Tenant (1976) and Andrzej Żuławski's Possession (1981). The company's filmography spans war epics, arthouse drama, and international co-productions, and is registered with Unifrance and catalogued on Cineuropa as a French production entity. NOTE: A separate contemporary French production company of the same name was founded in July 2019 by Alice Bloch (winner of the 2018 Lagardère Young Producer grant), based in Paris (3 Cité d'Hauteville, 75010 Paris), with contact email contact.marianneproductions@gmail.com and Instagram @marianne.productions — that entity is a distinct, active small production company.
