About
Lionceau Films is an independent French film production company founded in 2008 by Hélène Cases, following her 17-year career at Why Not Productions. Based in Paris, the company produces feature films and series spanning both Art House cinema and mainstream audiences, covering the full pipeline from development through post-production, including executive production and co-production. The company is known for award-winning titles such as Angèle et Tony (2011 César nominations), Le Dernier Coup de Marteau (2014 Venice Official Selection), and Primaire (2016 Colcoa Special Jury Prize). Its name was inspired by Alix Delaporte's short film Comment on freine dans une descente, which won the Golden Lion for Best Short Film at the Venice Film Festival.
