Ensemble theatre company of Santa Barbara

Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara (ETC) is Santa Barbara's sole professional Equity theater company and a member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), producing five fully staged plays per season at the 294-seat New Vic Theatre. Founded in 1978 as the Ensemble Theatre Project, ETC has been home to numerous World, American, and West Coast premieres and draws nearly 20,000 patrons annually from the south/central California coast region. In addition to its mainstage productions spanning classic drama, musicals, Shakespeare, and contemporary new works, ETC runs a robust Theatre Education Outreach initiative serving local public junior and high schools.
