Ensemble theatre company of Santa BarbaraFollow

Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara (ETC) is Santa Barbara's sole professional Equity theater company and a member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), performing at the 294-seat New Vic Theatre at 33 West Victoria Street. Founded in 1978 as the Ensemble Theatre Project, ETC produces five fully staged plays per season spanning classic drama, musicals, Shakespeare, and contemporary new works, and has been home to numerous World, American, and West Coast premieres drawing nearly 20,000 patrons annually. In addition to its mainstage productions, ETC runs a robust Theatre Education Outreach initiative — including acting classes, a Young Actors Conservatory, and a Young Playwrights Festival — serving youth and adults throughout the south/central California coast region.
