Deerfield Productions

Deerfield Productions, ULC is a Canadian production entity (Unlimited Liability Company) used as the local/British Columbia production vehicle for the 2022 Netflix action-thriller feature film 'Lou,' produced by J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Cohen under the Bad Robot Productions banner and directed by Anna Foerster. It is a project-specific shell company registered in Canada for the purpose of filming in Vancouver, BC in summer 2021, which is standard practice for US productions shooting in Canada. A separate earlier entity, Deerfield Productions, Inc., was a New York-based (Westchester County) production company founded in 1984 that grew into one of the most active production houses on the East Coast before merging with the publicly traded SmartPros Ltd. in 1999 and later giving rise to DEG Productions in 2005.
