Chance Theater

Chance Theater is Anaheim's official resident theater company, designated as such by the Anaheim City Council, and one of the leading ensemble-driven theater companies in Southern California. Founded in 1999, the nonprofit operates the Bette Aitken Theater Arts Center, a 6,000 sq ft two-stage facility featuring the 150-seat flexible Cripe Stage and the 50-seat proscenium Fyda-Mar Stage. The company produces socially conscious, provocative plays and musicals, with a strong emphasis on world and regional premieres and new works development, and maintains robust education and community outreach programs including its Speak Up youth initiative. Chance Theater is a constituent member of Theatre Communications Group, Network of Ensemble Theaters, and the LA Stage Alliance, and has received the National Theatre Company grant from the American Theatre Wing.
