CBS Studio Center

CBS Studio Center (now officially rebranded as Radford Studio Center) is a historic, full-service television and film production facility located on a 55-acre lot in Studio City, California. Founded in 1928 as Mack Sennett Studios and later acquired by CBS, the lot features 22 soundstages (17 audience-rated), 210,000 sq ft of office space, three permanent backlot sets (New York Street, Central Park, Residential Street), and comprehensive production support services including lighting, grip, ADR, and transportation equipment rentals. The studio was sold by ViacomCBS to Hackman Capital Partners and Square Mile Capital Management for $1.85 billion in 2021, and is operated and serviced by The MBS Group; in January 2026, Hackman defaulted on its $1.1 billion mortgage and ceded control of the property to a Goldman Sachs-led lending syndicate. The facility has housed landmark productions including Gunsmoke, Gilligan's Island, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Seinfeld, and Big Brother.
