About

Beta Cinema GmbH is a Munich-based international world sales and co-financing company for quality independent feature films, operating as a subsidiary of Jan Mojto's European media group Beta Film. Founded in 2001, the company has established itself as a boutique operation focused on 10–12 carefully selected titles per year that combine commercial viability with artistic integrity. Its track record spans Oscar winners and global box office hits including The Lives of Others, Downfall, Il Divo, and Never Look Away, alongside streaming successes like Calibre and Woman at War. Beta Cinema has been actively expanding into English-language productions in recent years, including a minority stake in UK sales outfit Cornerstone Films.
