Bark Like A Cat Films

Bark Like a Cat Films is a Cyprus-based independent production company and the production label of director-producer Tonia Mishiali, founded in 2020. The company produces bold, character-driven feature films and short films with a focus on female-led narratives, both Tonia's own directorial projects and those of like-minded filmmakers. Its slate has been supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, Eurimages, the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture, the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Centre, Film Fund Luxembourg, and the Bulgarian National Film Center. The company's films have premiered and competed at leading international festivals including the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Tallinn Black Nights, Locarno, and Clermont-Ferrand, and have been distributed theatrically across Europe, the USA, Canada, and Asia, and streamed on HBO Europe and Amazon Prime.
