AWA Studios

AWA Studios (Artists Writers & Artisans, Inc.) is a New York-based independent entertainment studio and comic book publisher founded in November 2018 by former Marvel Comics executives Axel Alonso and Bill Jemas, and media veteran Jonathan F. Miller. The company operates on a creator-first model, publishing bold original graphic novels and comic series with the goal of adapting them into film, television, and other media. AWA has published over 40 original series and has set up numerous screen adaptations with major entertainment companies including Warner Bros. Discovery, Fremantle, and Apple TV+. Its investors include James Murdoch's Lupa Systems, Elisabeth Murdoch's SISTER, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Fremantle.
