About
Automatik Entertainment was a Los Angeles-based independent film and television production company founded by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (formerly of CAA) alongside partners Fred Berger and the management firm Grandview. Over roughly a decade, the company produced more than 70 films and TV projects, ranging from horror franchises (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister) to awards contenders (La La Land, Bad Education, A Complete Unknown). In June 2023, Automatik completed a merger with Range Media Partners, with Kavanaugh-Jones and Berger becoming Partners and Co-Presidents of Film & Production at Range, effectively folding the Automatik banner into Range's expanded production operation.
