Artists Equity is an independent, artist-led studio founded in November 2022 by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Gerry Cardinale of RedBird Capital, reimagining the relationship between talent, studios, brands, and distributors. Operating across three distinct divisions — Scripted, Unscripted, and Advertising — the company prioritizes an innovative, talent-first business model that enables all creative participants to share in the profits and value they bring to a project. Since launch, the studio has grown to over 70 employees and released acclaimed films including Air, The Accountant 2, The Instigators, Unstoppable, and The Rip, while also securing multi-year distribution deals with both Sony Pictures (theatrical) and Netflix (streaming).
