Alfresco Pictures

Alfresco Pictures is a Los Angeles-based scripted television and film production company founded in August 2018 by English actor Freddie Highmore (born Alfred Thomas Highmore — 'Alfresco' being a wordplay on his real first name, Alfred, as well as evoking a sense of communal openness). Operating under a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television, the company develops prestige scripted drama for broadcast, cable, streaming platforms, and international co-productions. Its credits include the Italian period drama 'Leonardo' (RAI/France Télévisions/ZDF/SPT), and active 2026–2027 productions 'I'm Not Here to Hurt You' (Crave/Sony, with Good Doctor co-creator David Shore) and 'Chocolate Wars' (BritBox/UKTV/Sony, produced in association with Fable Pictures). Alfresco is run day-to-day by Head of Development Claire Londy, who serves as executive producer on all company projects.
