Alfama Films

Alfama Films Production is a Paris-based independent film production, distribution, and international sales company founded in 2006 by veteran Portuguese-French producer Paulo Branco. The company extends Branco's decades-long commitment to auteur and European art-house cinema, having produced over 35 feature films screened at the world's most prestigious festivals including Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto. Its slate includes acclaimed works by directors such as David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis), Raúl Ruiz (Mysteries of Lisbon), Christophe Honoré, Wim Wenders, and Jerzy Skolimowski, among many others. In addition to production, Alfama handles French theatrical distribution and worldwide sales for the films it produces or co-produces.
