About the Casting Apprentice Program:

The NBC Universal Casting Apprentice Program is a career development opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in casting. This program is designed for individuals of diverse backgrounds who aspire to gain insight and training at an entry level at a Network or Studio. The apprentice will be given an opportunity to work at a Network with an executive casting team depending on the assigned division. This is a 12-24 month program paid through a third party and will report into Casting and Talent Development & Inclusion.

Responsibilities & Perks:

The apprentice will be working within a network or studio. He/she will work with Casting Executives and/or Directors to manage the day-to-day casting responsibilities for a TV show or feature. This will include:

• scheduling & maintaining the casting database & tracking all guest star appearances on scripted projects.
• can include, but are not limited to, facilitating & attending casting sessions, prescreening, reviewing, editing & uploading auditions, as well as developing a strong rapport with talent agents & managers.
• gets exposure to top level programming executives &
• expected to attend various departmental meetings.
• will also have the opportunity to attend talent showcases.
