Stefanie Estes, known for her role in the Blumhouse-executive produced SXSW title Soft & Quiet, takes the lead in the upcoming horror-thriller The Spotter. She stars alongside Alyshia Ochse (The Other Black Girl), Rob Kirkland (Yellowstone), and Robbie Allen (The Redeemer).
Directed by USC alum Harry Locke IV, The Spotter is written by Mike Gerbino. Locke brings his extensive experience as an online editor and VFX artist to the project, with credits including The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Tangerine. Currently in post-production, The Spotter marks Locke's sophomore feature as a director.
The film follows Iris (played by Estes), a struggling mother who reluctantly agrees to assist her friend Bridgette (played by Ochse) in her suicide. However, when things take an unexpected turn, Iris finds herself trapped in a nightmarish battle between her overwhelming guilt and the supernatural forces at play.
Produced by Sasha Yelaun (The Old Way, The Vanished) and Alain Azoulay of Azoulay Pictures (The Redeemer), the production team also includes Harry Locke IV and Robbie Allen. Both Alyshia Ochse and Stefanie Estes serve as co-producers. Filming wrapped this spring in Louisville, Kentucky, and the film is now moving through the final stages of post-production.Tagged
