Casting directors are now casting actors, models & talent to work in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to play opposite of Kelvin Harrison, Jr. & Lucas Hedges. 'Waves' will be directed by Trey Edward Shults who is a director & writer, known for Krisha (2015), It Comes at Night (2017) & Krisha (2014).

About Waves:

A coming-of-age drama telling two contrasting teen love stories in the feverish atmosphere of South Florida summer. WAVES shows the lives & futures of suburban teenagers & their parents challenged & overturned.

Requirements:

  • Principal Role - Man seen in a hospital bed, skinny & incredibly fragile “like an old man on his death bed.” This is Luke’s father whom Luke remembers as an abusive tyrant. (5 lines, 3 scenes)
Casting directors are hoping to cast someone that looks convincingly unwell. Whether they suffer from some sort of glandular disorder or are on the mend from a serious illness we need someone that can not only deliver a convincing performance but feels like they are on deaths door in terms of their physicality.
