Zainab Azizi is a first-generation Afghan American film producer and President of Raimi Productions, the banner she runs alongside director Sam Raimi, which she joined in 2018 and became president of in 2019. A University of Maryland (Sociology, 2012) alumna, she began her entertainment career in the WME mailroom before rising to produce a slate of wide-release studio features including Umma (2022), 65 (2023), Boy Kills World (2024), Locked (2025), Don't Move (2024), and Send Help (2026). Named to Variety's '10 Producers to Watch' list in 2025 and honored as a New York Moves Power Women 2025 honoree, Azizi champions original, commercially viable stories and female-led narratives across horror, thriller, and action-comedy genres.
