About
Thomas Marchese is a multi-award-winning writer/director and founder of Darkroom Films, based in Monterey, CA. He got his start directing music videos, short-form narrative and documentary projects, and commercial work before breaking into features. His debut feature documentary, Fallen (2017), narrated by Michael Chiklis, won the Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature at the Hollywood Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Phoenix Film Festival before being picked up by Netflix. His second feature, From Black (2023), a supernatural horror film starring Anna Camp, was acquired by AMC at Cannes and released on Shudder and AMC+.
