Shannon Makhanian (born Shannon Lee Kjornes, May 3, 1969, Los Angeles, CA) is a prolific independent film casting director and producer with over 139 credits on IMDb, best known for her work on Brick (2005), Mysterious Skin (2004), and Willy's Wonderland (2021). She began her career as a casting assistant on Bicentennial Man (1999) and progressed to leading casting on dozens of indie and genre features, frequently collaborating on low-to-mid-budget productions. She serves as Vice President of Casting at After Dark Films and also operates as a self-employed casting director. In addition to casting, she has produced multiple independent features and occasionally takes on small acting roles.
