Sean Patrick Michael McNamara is an Irish-American director, writer, and producer specializing in inspirational family dramas and faith-based features, best known for Soul Surfer (2011), Reagan (2024), The Miracle Season (2018), and Soul on Fire (2025). He is the co-founder and CEO of Brookwell McNamara Entertainment, one of the leading family entertainment production companies supplying content to Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Hallmark, and Sony Affirm. A BAFTA Award winner, five-time Emmy nominee, and four-time DGA Award nominee, McNamara is credited with discovering Shia LaBeouf and launching the careers of Jessica Alba and Hilary Duff. His newest project is Blank Canvas (2026, in development at Brookwell McNamara Entertainment), and he has two additional upcoming films: Will to Win and Home.
