Scott Budnick is an American film producer, social justice activist, and Founder & CEO of 1Community, a mission-driven entertainment production and co-financing company he launched in 2018 after raising $75 million. As EVP of Todd Phillips' Green Hat Films for over 14 years, he produced comedy franchises including The Hangover trilogy (grossing over $1.4 billion), Old School, Due Date, War Dogs, and Project X before stepping back from Hollywood to found the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) in 2014. Under the 1Community banner, he has executive-produced Just Mercy (2019), Respect (2021), Winner (2024), and Nonnas (2025, Netflix), and co-produced two Tony-nominated Broadway plays. He serves on the Board of President Obama's My Brother's Keeper Alliance and was named California's Governor's Volunteer of the Year in 2012.
