About
Rosie Alison (born 1964) is a British film and television producer, documentary director, and novelist based in London. After studying English at Keble College, Oxford, she spent over a decade as a producer-director of arts documentaries for ITV's The South Bank Show, BBC's Omnibus, and Channel 4's Grand Designs before joining David Heyman's Heyday Films in 2001. At Heyday, she has served as producer or executive producer on a slate of acclaimed films and TV projects including Paddington in Peru (2024), Wonka (2023), Paddington 2 (2017), The Light Between Oceans (2016), Testament of Youth (2014), The Secret Garden (2020), and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008). She is also a published novelist, whose debut The Very Thought of You (2009) was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction.
