Poppy Hanks is the EVP of Development & Production, Film at MACRO, the award-winning multiplatform media company founded by Charles D. King dedicated to amplifying the stories of Black people and people of color. An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, she has shepherded numerous critically acclaimed and awards-recognized films including the six-time Oscar-nominated Judas and the Black Messiah, Sorry to Bother You, Mudbound, Fences, and They Cloned Tyrone. Prior to MACRO, she served as SVP of Production for Tyler Perry's 34th Street Films and VP at State Street Pictures, where she oversaw such titles as For Colored Girls, Precious, and Barbershop.
