Paul T. Scheuring is an American screenwriter, director, and producer born November 20, 1968, in Aurora, Illinois, best known as the creator, executive producer, and head writer of the Fox thriller series Prison Break (2005–2017). He graduated from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television and has written and directed feature films including A Man Apart (2003), The Experiment (2010), and co-wrote Den of Thieves (2018) and its 2025 sequel Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. He also created and co-wrote the Discovery miniseries Klondike (2014), produced alongside Ridley Scott, and has authored two novels — The Far Shore and The Resurrectionist — with a third in progress. He currently lives in Northern California with his wife and two children.
