Paul Feig (born September 17, 1962, Royal Oak, Michigan) is a DGA Award-winning, Emmy-nominated American filmmaker, writer, producer, and actor best known for directing hit comedies including Bridesmaids (2011), The Heat (2013), Spy (2015), A Simple Favor (2018), and The Housemaid (2025). He created the cult television series Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000) with Judd Apatow and is the founder of Feigco Entertainment (co-run with Laura Fischer), which in 2025 signed a multi-year first-look TV deal at Warner Bros. Television and a first-look film deal at Lionsgate. He also co-founded Powderkeg Media in 2018 to champion female, LGBTQIA+, and filmmakers of color.
