Paul Feig (born September 17, 1962, Royal Oak, Michigan) is a DGA Award-winning, Emmy-nominated American filmmaker, writer, producer, and actor best known for directing hit comedies and thrillers including Bridesmaids (2011), Spy (2015), A Simple Favor (2018), and The Housemaid (2025), which grossed over $401 million worldwide. He created the cult television series Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000) and is the founder of Feigco Entertainment (co-run with producing partner Laura Fischer) and Powderkeg Media, which champions female, LGBTQIA+, and filmmakers of color. In 2025, Feigco Entertainment signed a multi-year first-look TV deal at Warner Bros. Television and a first-look film deal at Lionsgate. He is currently in pre-production on The Housemaid's Secret (sequel, Lionsgate) and has signed on to direct the horror thriller Detention for Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Platinum Dunes.
