Patrick Macmanus is an American television writer, showrunner, creator, and executive producer based in Los Angeles, born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the founder of Littleton Road Productions, currently in its tenth year of an overall deal with Universal Content Productions (UCP/Universal Studio Group), and is best known for creating critically acclaimed true-crime limited series including Dr. Death (Peacock, 2021), The Girl from Plainville (Hulu, 2022, co-created with Liz Hannah), and Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy (Peacock, 2025). He is repped by CAA and Game Plan Media, and is currently developing Devil in Disguise: The Nightstalker (S2), Vigilante, Spotlight (starring Rachel McAdams), The Wedding Sting, Biological War, and The Boys From Biloxi, among others.
