Michael Benaroya (born February 23, 1981, Seattle, WA) is an American film producer, financier, and entrepreneur who founded Benaroya Pictures in 2006 and serves as its CEO, developing, financing, and producing independent and mid-budget motion pictures. He is best known for personally financing J.C. Chandor's debut feature Margin Call (2011), which premiered at Sundance and earned over $19M worldwide, and went on to produce prestige films including Lawless (2012), The Words (2012), Kill Your Darlings (2013), and Queen of the Desert (2015). In 2013, Benaroya co-founded International Film Trust (IFT), an international sales and distribution joint venture with Miscellaneous Entertainment, and has since expanded into original content through Eclipse Films. His most recent producing credits include The Patient (2024, starring Ryan Phillippe and Kate Beckinsale) and Kristallnacht (2025, starring Clive Owen), both launched via IFT.
