Mark Lowell Ordesky (born April 22, 1963) is an American film and television producer and studio executive best known as the Executive Producer of Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy, for which he served as New Line Cinema's primary advocate and spent five years in New Zealand supervising all elements of development, production, and post-production. During his 20-year tenure at New Line Cinema and Fine Line Features (where he served as President from 1998–2005), he acquired or executive produced over 60 films collectively grossing nearly $4 billion worldwide and earning 38 Academy Award nominations with 18 wins. He is co-founder and Managing Director of Court Five, a Los Angeles-based media company he launched with partner Jane Fleming, specializing in fantasy, YA/family, horror, and science-fiction for film and television.
