About
Mark Ceryak is an American film and television producer and co-founding partner of PASTEL, the acclaimed production company he launched in May 2017 alongside Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, and Sara Murphy. PASTEL's debut film Moonlight (2016) won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and the company has since produced such prestige titles as If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), Aftersun (2022), The Underground Railroad (2021), and True Detective: Night Country (2024). Ceryak has served as both producer and executive producer across PASTEL's feature and television slate, which operates under first-look deals at A24 and HBO/Max, and his most recent credit is Sorry, Baby (2025), acquired by A24 at Sundance. He has received two Primetime Emmy nominations for his executive producer work on The Underground Railroad and True Detective: Night Country, and a PGA nomination for True Detective: Night Country.
