About
Lilly Burns is an Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning television producer who co-founded Jax Media in 2011 alongside Tony Hernandez and John Skidmore, building it into a major comedy production banner behind such hits as Broad City, Russian Doll, Inside Amy Schumer, Search Party, and Emily in Paris. Following Imagine Entertainment's full acquisition of Jax Media and a brief tenure as co-President, Burns and Hernandez departed in January 2023 and co-founded Counterpart Studios, where she serves as Chief Creative Officer alongside CEO Tony Hernandez and President Elise Henderson. Counterpart's active slate includes Dexter: Resurrection and Dexter: Original Sin (Paramount+/Showtime), Free Bert (Netflix), and Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (Apple TV+), with additional projects in development. She is the daughter of acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, and graduated from Columbia University in 2009.
