Lawrence Mattis is the founding partner of Circle Management and Production (formerly Circle of Confusion), a premier bi-coastal management and production company he built over three decades from a small literary boutique into a full-service operation representing writers, directors, actors, and intellectual property. A former attorney who received his JD from Columbia University, he manages clients including the Wachowski sisters, Jon Spaihts, Gary Whitta, and many others, and has produced credits including The Walking Dead franchise, Daisy Jones & The Six, Work in Progress, Mayhem, and Mr. Right. He co-founded Anarchists United with Lilly Wachowski to advance artistry, diversity, and equity in film and television, and serves as Secretary of the Rett Syndrome Research Trust.
