Josh Boone (born April 5, 1979, Virginia Beach, VA) is an American filmmaker and screenwriter specializing in romantic dramas and high-profile literary adaptations. He broke through with The Fault in Our Stars (2014, $307M worldwide) and went on to direct The New Mutants (2020) and write/direct the CBS All Access miniseries The Stand (2020–2021). His most recent release, Regretting You (2025, based on Colleen Hoover's novel), grossed $90.5M globally for Paramount, and he is currently attached to direct Fake Skating for Sony Pictures/Columbia (July 16, 2027), adapting Lynn Painter's NYT bestseller.
