Jim Reid is Director of Programmes at Channel X, one of the UK's leading comedy and entertainment independents. Before entering television, he had an extensive journalism career as a music magazine editor, features editor of a left-wing tabloid, and contributor to the Sunday Times, Guardian and Observer. As a producer and deviser of entertainment formats and scripted comedy, he has worked across landmark British TV productions including Eurotrash, Modern Toss, Blunder, Detectorists, So Awkward, and most recently Small Prophets (BBC/Channel X North). He also serves as a company director and is overseeing Channel X's push into format markets in Europe, Asia and the US.
