James F. Lopez (born 1968) is an American film producer and executive serving as President of MACRO Film Studios, the motion picture arm of Charles D. King's MACRO media company, a position he has held since September 2021. Prior to MACRO, he was President of Will Packer Productions (2015–2021), overseeing a Universal Pictures first-look deal and producing a string of commercially successful films including Girls Trip, Night School, Little, What Men Want, The Photograph, and Beast. Earlier in his career he was SVP of Production at Screen Gems (Sony Pictures Entertainment) and SVP of Marketing at Atlantic Records. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (executive branch), serves on the Board of Directors of the Producers Guild of America Foundation, and holds the PGA mark (p.g.a.) as a certified producer.
