About

Duncan Montgomery is an independent film producer and co-founder of High Frequency Entertainment (HFE), a genre-agnostic film production and financing company he launched in 2014 alongside Jack Selby, with bases in Austin, TX and Los Angeles, CA. A self-described 'recovering entertainment lawyer' with a JD from SMU Dedman School of Law, Montgomery has produced a wide range of critically acclaimed independent features including Richard Linklater's Bernie (2011), Freeheld (2015), Silk Road (2021), Windfall (2022), and His Three Daughters (2023). In 2021, HFE expanded its financing capabilities by launching High Frequency Holdings and welcoming producer Alex Orlovsky as a partner, enabling the company to co-finance, fully finance, or partner with streamers on a broader slate of projects.
