David Ready is an American film producer and production executive currently serving as President of Film at Chernin Entertainment, the flagship film branch of North Road Company. A native of Boston and graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, he previously held executive roles at Di Bonaventura Pictures (working on the Transformers franchise and developing the Red franchise) and Jerry Weintraub Productions (Ocean's 11 franchise), before joining Chernin Entertainment in 2013. His producing credits include Luther: The Fallen Sun, Slumberland, the Fear Street trilogy, Red Sparrow, The Mountain Between Us, Tolkien, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, with recent credits including Apex (Netflix, 2026) and the high-profile Paramount feature High Side, reuniting James Mangold and Timothée Chalamet. He was featured in The Hollywood Reporter's 2011 'Next Gen' list.
