Clay Epstein is the President and Owner of Film Mode Entertainment, a worldwide sales, distribution, and production entity he founded in Beverly Hills in 2016 with a producer-friendly initiative. With over two decades of experience in international film sales, he also executive produces many of the company's titles spanning all genres and budget sizes. Prior to Film Mode, Epstein served as SVP Sales & Acquisitions at Arclight Films (2012–2016) and VP Sales & Acquisitions at The Little Film Company (2006–2012), and earlier at First Look Studios and Overseas Filmgroup/Kushner-Locke. He served two consecutive terms as Chairperson of the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA) from 2021–2025, and is an instructor at UCLA Extension and a frequent lecturer at international film festivals.
