Chad Feehan is an American writer, producer, and showrunner born on October 31, 1978, in Houston, Texas. He is best known as the creator and showrunner of the Paramount+ limited series Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023), starring David Oyelowo, and served as creator, executive producer, and showrunner on Dutton Ranch (2026), the Yellowstone spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, before departing the series ahead of its May 2026 premiere. Earlier in his career, he wrote and produced for Ray Donovan (Showtime) and Banshee (Cinemax), and wrote and directed the 2010 IFC Films feature Beneath the Dark, which premiered at SXSW. He is also associated with his production banner Catch Fire Films.
