Brian Johnson is a cinematographer, DP, and director with more than 30 years in the entertainment industry, based in Coastal North Carolina. After earning his degree in motion picture production in Los Angeles, he built a career shooting national commercials, TV content, and independent films, collaborating with Emmy-winning directors including Gary Graver — Orson Welles' final cinematographer. He leads 1130 Media Group, a full-service production company, through which he directed, wrote, and shot the 2023 streaming feature Population Purge, and is developing the drama This Side of Broken with his wife, producer-writer Tresha Johnson.
