Adam B. Stein (born 1977, Miami, FL) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer who works in Los Angeles and Vancouver, BC. A Harvard University and USC School of Cinematic Arts (MFA Directing, 1999) graduate, he is best known for co-directing Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025, $317.9M worldwide) and the award-winning sci-fi thriller Freaks (2018, TIFF Midnight Madness), all in long-term partnership with Zach Lipovsky. Following Bloodlines' breakout success, he and Lipovsky signed an expansive first-look deal with Sony Pictures in April 2026 under their new production banner Wonderlab, with an active slate including Metal Gear Solid (Columbia Pictures), an animated Venom film (Sony Pictures Animation), The Earthling (Columbia), The Traveler (Paramount), Long Lost (Universal/Amblin), and Gremlins 3 (Warner Bros., co-written with Chris Columbus and Lipovsky).
