Working Barn Productions

Working Barn Productions is an independent film production and financing company co-founded in 2023 by theater director/producer Peter Richards and veteran studio executive Naia Cucukov Richards, operating out of Los Angeles. The company develops and finances bold, filmmaker-driven films with distinctive style and purpose, with a focus on supporting emerging and underrepresented voices. A signature initiative is their Playwright's Incubator program, which bridges the theater world and the film industry by supporting produced playwrights in developing their first screenplays. Notable projects include the Sundance 2025 Audience Award winner *East of Wall* (acquired by Sony Pictures Classics), on which both co-founders served as executive producers.
