Unapologetic Projects

Unapologetic Projects is a Los Angeles-based independent film finance and television production company co-founded in January 2023 by Chris Quintos Cathcart and Tyler Boehm. The company works with underrepresented creators to tell authentic stories, changing the traditional financing model by valuing diversity and cultural authenticity over star power and name recognition. Their debut film, Dìdi (Focus Features, 2024), won the Sundance Audience Award and two Independent Spirit Awards, establishing them as a rising force in independent film. The company also maintains a TV development fund and has invested in the theatrical distribution company 1-2 Special.
