The Gateway Playhouse

The Gateway Playhouse (officially the Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, or 'The Gateway') is a professional regional theatre located in Bellport, New York, on Long Island. Founded in 1950, it is the oldest professional theatre on Long Island and is nationally recognized as one of the top summer theatres in the nation, seating 500 patrons. In 2011, The Gateway Playhouse and its Acting School combined to form the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization known today as the Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, offering Broadway-caliber musicals, comedies, children's theatre, concerts, and comprehensive performing arts education for all ages.
