Studio NextFollow

Studio NEXT is the independent content production arm (business unit) of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), focused on creating premium, high-investment original content and intellectual properties for television and digital platforms, with an ambition for content that can travel outside India. Operating as a distinct production venture within the SPNI ecosystem — which spans 29 television channels and the SonyLIV streaming platform — it has produced acclaimed titles including Scam 1992, Kaun Banega Crorepati (Season 10, co-produced with Big Synergy), Shark Tank India, Freedom at Midnight, and Sandwiched Forever. As of early 2026, following the departure of longtime head Danish Khan (who departed March 31, 2026), SPNI MD & CEO Gaurav Banerjee is overseeing the division on an interim basis while a permanent successor is recruited.
