Storybuilders, LLC is Netflix's affiliated internal production arm, used as the legal employer-of-record and production entity under which Netflix self-produced feature films are produced and credited as 'Netflix Originals' for first-window streaming exhibition. It is a WGA Minimum Basic Agreement signatory via a Letter of Adherence, with Netflix Entertainment, LLC as guarantor of its obligations, and holds a Memorandum of Agreement with Teamsters Local 399 as formal employer of record for Netflix's self-produced theatrical motion pictures. The entity gained significant industry prominence through a landmark 2022 WGA arbitration arising from the film Bird Box, which resulted in $42 million in additional residuals paid to 216 writers across 139 Netflix-produced films. As a legal/administrative production entity rather than a public-facing studio, Storybuilders, LLC has no independent website, social media presence, or public contact information.
