Significant Productions

Significant Productions is a Los Angeles-based motion picture and television production company co-founded in 2010 by Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker and producer Nina Yang Bongiovi. The company is devoted to championing storytellers of color and creating opportunities for underrepresented narratives, both in front of and behind the camera. Its acclaimed slate includes Fruitvale Station (2013), Dope (2015), Roxanne Roxanne (2017), Sorry to Bother You (2018), Passing (2021), and the EPIX/MGM+ series Godfather of Harlem. The company has held first-look deals with Amazon Studios and has been recognized by the Producers Guild of America with the Stanley Kramer Award.
